Biden’s New Spending Bill Includes $2 Billion for Save The Whales Campaign

Biden’s new spending bill, Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, includes $2 Billion in funding for Save The Whales Campaign. As part of the Green New Deal, AOC has proposed funding more action towards saving the whales and protecting wild life. AOC told Congress, “It’s important that as we enter a recession, we consider more funding towards whale protection. Whales are essential to healthy oceans, and we can stimulate the economy by saving the whales. People are struggling to make ends meet and healthy whales are a big impact on that.” In order to raise funding for the Green New Deal, taxes are being raised on nearly all tax brackets this year. Time will tell if whales can save the American economy.
