California Bans Hunting to Combat Climate Change

California Governor, Gavin Newsom, announced Sunday that the state of California is banning all forms of hunting. The Governor passed the Deer Rights Act which bans all forms of hunting. The law aims to reduce the effects of climate change caused by hunting, “Deer are essential to protecting the earth’s climate. We need to protect deer and rabbits in order to restore ecosystems and prevent global warming. Bambi waited 80 years for this law to pass, and it’s about time we prevented what happened to his mother from happening again.” The Governor also stated that he wants to ban fishing next in order to strengthen California ecosystems.
